He lives in the old birch tree where his father was hung. High in the branches he climbs. To find something that has been long lost. He stares up at a star spangled navy blue sky. His face shadowed and draped in regret. His heart still burns so brightly. "Why do I suffer for things that are make believe? Why do I feel the pain? When the pain is not mine.. Why does little birch boy hurt so much inside? He wants the pain to go away. But when he tries to let it free, all that comes out is crimson regret. ~Scartha
