gl hf -- -- Aeduuin was an average farmer who belonged to a humble family situated in the hill country of Ahktla. Every member of their tight knit family worked their fingers to the bone every day, slaving over their small crops in an effort to sustain the family. No matter how much and how tenaciously they worked, they could only just barely eke out a living. The constant stress around the household only served to bring them closer together and to strengthen them. Their love for one another was virtually unmatched. Ahktla was a country fraught with danger: constant attacks from goblin raiding parties and orcish tribes. The brutes would enter the smaller villages and take everything of value, killing anyone who stood in their way. It was not uncommon for them to steal the women and children as well, to serve as their slaves. Aeduuin was sent away to sell off their produce, the larger cities would give better coin. He was gone for two days. When he returned the village had been ransacked, his children were gone and his wife was dead, in her arms was his youngest son, just turned 3 months old. He buried them together, swearing vengeance on any goblin or orc he should come across for the rest of his days. For years he leered over tomes of magic, absorbing every facet of knowledge they had to offer. He started with meager spells of summoning, bringing into existence small stones and clumps of mud. His magical might grew more and more as the years went by. Over time he learned how to conjure lightning from his fingertips, he could hurl fireballs with ease. The entire time he had only one thing in his mind, one singular word that he centered his whole life around. Revenge. With his powers he scoured the countryside for any goblins or orcs. He killed each and every one he found, incinerating them in a fiery blast, electrocuting them, or worse. With every one that he had slain, his powers grew. He absorbed their lifeforce, extending his own lifetime and making his magical talents even more powerful. Before long, he had lost sight of his original intentions, it wasn't about revenge anymore, he had virtually forgotten his family. He only cared about himself. Hundreds of goblins lay dead in his wake, all harvested of their lifeforce. Eventually the orcs and goblins stopped attacking Ahktla, staying deep within their own homelands to the North. This however did not stop Aeduuin. He tracked them down for miles, slaying all that he could find, men, women, or children. He stayed there for years, keeping up his bloody rampage. Nearly fifty years later his skin had started to tear and flake off, his hair grew stringy and patchy. His mind had become yet more warped, angry and lustful for power. The villagers shunned him for his hideous looks and dark tendencies. He stopped associating with other humans, preferring the company of himself. He summoned dark minions, the skeletons of the dead, spirits of the damned. With their help he built a dark tower from which he conducts hideous experiments on unwilling subjects. The people of the countryside avoid it like the plague, spreading strange rumours and scaring their children with tales of a evil wizard who would take them away if they don't stay close to home.
