Edwin, the Iron Fist Mercenary The Cobra King saw the Enchanted Land as an opportunity to strengthen his kingdom and army, but it was under controlled by the Enchanted Kingdom. The Cobra King pressured the Enchanted Kingdom to give up the land, but the small kingdom refused to give up the land that they rightfully owned for many centuries. Irritated by the Enchanted Kingdom’s persistent, the Cobra King declared war on them and launched a full-scale invasion with his elite army. Edwin was the Captain of the Mystic Brawler for the Enchanted Kingdom. His unit attempted to fend off the invaders, but failed as they became overran by the vast number of Cobra soldiers. The Enchanted Kingdom suffered many losses in their battles, forcing their army to retreat back to their Capital, where they had to defend or else the kingdom will be fallen. King Edmund of the Enchanted Kingdom ordered his wizards to cast a protective orb around the Capital, shielding the city from the Cobra Army. The Cobra Army had arrived at the outskirt of the Capital, setting their camps around the city and preparing their siegeworks. General Janus ordered his warlocks to destroy the protective orb; the warlocks gathered around and chanted their spells. They summoned a giant meteor that flew towards the Capital. The people panicked and the soldiers froze in fear. The meteor charged into the orb, shattering it into pieces. The Cobra soldiers charged in as their cannons tried to break down the great walls. The Enchanted soldiers tried to prevent the Cobra soldiers from crossing the walls, but they couldn’t do it. The invaders slaughtered the people and pillaged the buildings. Edwin gathered the remaining men in his unit and led them to the Palace as they had to escort the royal family to the skyship heading for the Kingdom of Esso for asylum. Edwin and his men led the royal family to the Palace’s docking station, fighting their way through the Cobra soldiers. They quickly entered the skyship and immediately departed into the sky. Edwin looked down, seeing the Cobra Army overran the Palace. Suddenly, the sky ship was hit by a rocket shot by the Cobra cannons, exploding in the sky. News of the death of King Edmund and his family traveled throughout the continent. The Kingdom of the Cobra conquered the Enchanted Land, signaling the collapse of the Enchanted Kingdom. A mecha-doctor named Frederick saw black smoke drifting into the blue sky. He followed the smoke and came upon the wreckage of the skyship. He searched through the wreckage and founded Edwin who was lying unconsciously by the stream. Frederick took him back to his cabin where he attempted to treat the injuries of Edwin. Weeks later, Edwin woke up, feeling dizzy and confused. He rubbed his head to ease the headache, but he felt something cold and hard on his face. Edwin looked at the standing mirror at the end of his bed, observing the reflection of himself; a metal plate was bolted onto half of his face. He began to panic and squirmed in his bed which he founded out he had lost his left arm. Frederick came to his room, telling him to relax. He set a stool aside to the bed and sat down. He explained everything to Edwin about there was no survivors at the wreckage and the Enchanted Kingdom was fallen to the hands of the Cobra King. Edwin became angry and disappointed at himself because he failed to protect the King and the kingdom. He vowed for revenge, but Frederick laughed and advised him to rest as Edwin had training tomorrow morning. Frederick walked to a table which has something under the cloth. He pulled a cloth, revealing an iron arm. He told Edwin that he will teach him how to use his new weapon.
