Greed skin description

The sea holds many dangers to those foolish enough to venture into it, the most powerful of which is its ability to change a man. Here lies a once famed captain, known for his sailing expertise and kind treatment of crew. It did not take long for his manners to change once he had a taste for gold and plunder. Following whispers of untold wealth, he came to meet a man of immense power, said to turn all that he touches to gold. Promised eternal glory and riches, the captain agreed to trade his entire crew for abundant wealth. The powerful being reached out its hand and touched the skin of the sea dweller. It hardened and shimmered as the captain's movements grew stiffer. The crew, equally frozen, were in shock of what they beheld. Both flesh and clothes had transformed into solid gold. To this day, the captain's corpse remains an eternal reminder of greed's alluring influence on the souls of the sea.
