CandidateScientist_Michael_log21_day8: .. We have landed on the planet "NW033" A search for potential resources and scientific discovery will be set for tomorrow .. CandidateScientist_Michael_log21_day9: .. 3 square kilometers have been researched around the ship. The planet seems to have a rather "dense" air, so helmets were needed. The earth seems to hold a large source of uranium and mercury, which is rather strange. No other minerals other than what seems to be granite rock, have been unearthed .. CandidateScientist_Michael_log21_day10: :UNIDENTIFIED_LIFEFORM_FOUND: .. We discovered a new form of bacteria on one of the rocks we brought into the ship. All crew-members have made sure to not get in direct contact with it. A sample has been taken of the pathogen and put onto an agar-plate .. CandidateScientist_Michael_log21_day12: .. After 2 days, the bacteria has now formed a colony on the plate. However it does not seem to be spread into several small colonies, but rather stick together as one unit. It is reproducing and growing like cancer cells now, but it seems like it needed a day or two to get used to the new food-source .. CandidateScientist_Michael_log21_day15: .. There has been a rather strange discovery regarding the unknown bacteria. It seems like the colony is turning into a "tissue", as in a flesh-like tissue. The colony is overgrowing the plate. While I was checking up on the status of the unknown organism, it moved. Yes. The otherwise small pathogen we collected has turned into a living, breathing chunk of "flesh". It has the size of a fist, and seems to "slime" its way over the floor of the plastic box .. CandidateScientist_Michael_log21_day21: .. The ship has left the planet. I carefully tried to feed it some of our salad grown in the gardening room of the ship, and it at consumed it. However, I then fed it with a piece of dried meat, which it also consumed. The organism seems to be an omnivore. There is another thing. The organism seems to only gain more size the more we feed it. Soon it won't be able to fit the box. I must therefore try to not feed it for at least 3 days, to observe what effect it might give .. CandidateScientist_Michael_log21_day23: :CONTAMINATION_ALERT: .. The organism has escaped from its container. It seems to have cut open the box. How? I don't know. The crew has started the search for it. We presume that their deaths were caused by the organism. All what was left of them, was pools of blood, a few scattered bones and chunks of meat here and there. It would seem, that the life-form is straight up consuming them. We will try to decontaminate the whole ship as well as destroy the hostile organism .. CandidateScientist_Michael_log21_day24: .. It gains size whenever it consumes another lifeform, as well as it seems to adapt to any obstacle we've put it through. Not only has it got immense strength, speed and viciousness. By simply getting in contact with it once, you will get contaminated. The bacteria starts eating you from the inside, only to join forces with the already unified organism when the job is done. Do not try to search for this ship. Do not try to search for its origin system. This life-form is malicious. After you've received this message, I will destroy the ship.
