Imperial Footman skin description

Inspired by infantry from the war of the Roses (loosely late medieval), This footman plays a predominate role of safe guarding the holds and fortress's of that of his lord or lady or forming the core of ones armies crusading to retake what was lost. Kitted out for regimental combat his weapons would probably be a large body shield and spear or melee weapon, if not then likely a long pike or halberd. He wears a thick chain-mail shirt over covered by a flax jerkin bearing his faction colors. Around his waist is a thin buckled belt and his legs wear pale cotton trousers. Upon his feet are a pair of shin high tall wax leather boots. His head protected with a decorated steel Sallet, his face prickly from his unshaven jaw after many days march. "This Emperor better be worth it" - one begrudging footman said before he died.
