A Daimyo is a powerful member of Feudal Japanese society, being the equivalent of a lord in western cultures. These Daimyos were second only to the Shogun in terms of power. They were often influencial, and very skilled in combat, as they were higher up on the social order than that of the samuri. They often got embroyaled in conflicts with one another, in order to become the most powerful Daimyo at the time.
