Midas was the son of a local merchant, raised to seek wealth wherever it might lie. As a child Midas was wise, as he was able to scam his way to many Gold pieces. His lust for wealth only grew larger as he aged, but so did his wisdom. At the age of 12, many people had grown accustom to Midas' scams and it grew much harder to trick the locals for their Gold. He had went on to trick visitors of their Gold and because of his obsession, he did not care who he stole from. One foggy night, Midas went to the local pub and noticed a bunch of men carrying heavy sacks of Gold on their belts. He could not resist and went straight inside in hopes to go home rich. That night Midas had stolen from 12 men but that wasn't enough. His addiction can not be filled. As Midas searched for more gold to steal, he spotted a glimmering satchel on the strap of a very scrawny man. Midas thought that because this man looks so frail, it would be simple to grab the satchel and sprint straight home having fulfilled his need for the night. As Midas reached to grab the satchel, the frail old man snatches his wrist in a single motion. "Who's boy is this?!" The frail man yelled with surprising power. After a short pause "If nobody will claim the boy, I will take him onto my ship and make him repay what he has stolen from my men." All of the men in the bar pat their pockets and waists to find that all of their Gold is missing and with in all of the commotion, they leave taking Midas with them. Several years later, Midas is still aboard the ship. He is now a pirate known to be the best thief in the seven seas. His hands, doused in molten gold 7 years prior as ironic punishment for stealing from the pirates he now works along side with. It is said that anything he touches turns into gold.
