The Dark Frenchman was a man with no name who was framed of using magic during the french revolution. He was framed by his wife who was in love with another man. She went the authorities saying "When I came home and he was floating 1 foot off the ground. he was chanting a demon chant, and the pot was smoking and stirred with no human interaction." The man was soon arrested and sentenced to death by burning stake. He was in despair. He wept, and cried, pleading for help. No one came to help him. On the day of the burning ceremony he was tied up to the stake. When people began to crowd to watch the burning, a shadow of a distrustful fellow cast down over the plaza. Not many took noticed and those that did thought nothing of it. The authorities said a small promotion and read the man's sentence. As they lit the twigs and sticks the distrustful man said a small chant. "Non quod urit die hac. Vivet semper vitae." "The one that burns shall not die tonight. He shall live to continue his life." The flames went up and burned all day and well into the night. Somewhere towards the middle of the night the man with no name stood up in awe and pain. He couldn't believe that he was alive, and couldn't believe his pain. He was full of rage, and decided his old life was over with. He went on a rampage to kill his wife. And the ones that lit him of fire that fateful night. If you go to the plaza today, you might just see him once again.
