Once a great friend to Valgorex, the druid Hebrefex helped with a cure for Testificates that had been turned by zombies. His knowledge of plants couple by his alchemical arts lead him to the cure. Whilst searching the frozen tundra for hard packed ice Valgorex felt himself pain beneath his skull. It was Hebrefex his long time friend reaching out to him telepathically. Thankful that he was serendipitously near Valgorex rushed to his aid. He found Hebrefex in a small igloo made of packed ice. Part of his face had been burned green by the power of a strange gem he wore upon his brow. The circlet and gem were cursed and now permanent, unable to be removed. Still Valgorex was able to heal him best he could. As Hebrefex lay sleeping Valgorex notice a piece of carpet had been torn. It revealed a trap door with noises and grunt emanating forth. Below he found a sight that struck his heart low. Hebrefex was experimenting on healthy villagers! Giving them the virus to test for his experiments. Hebrefex pleaded with Valgorex to remember his neutrality as a druid. The few Testificates that were lost were sacrificed for the many. Valgorex could hear the truth in his words but this was far to ghastly to continue. He destroyed the books in the chamber and set the villagers free. Hebrefex turned from him that day and joined the Host, where he believed his work would be appreciated. None know how many chambers below the snow still house his experiments.
