It was like an infection with no cure- it rippled through her body, suddenly making her the unrecognizable monster that stood before me. The girl, who had spent too long looking up at the night sky- she knew too much. She knew too soon, about what was coming. Now, I lived in fear of her, forgetting everything she once was. That she once was human. That she once had a family, people who loved her. That I once called her my friend. Perhaps she was the lucky one.
