The Nue is a monster in Japanese folklore that has the head of a monkey, the body of a tanuki, the legs of a tiger, and the tail of a snake. So it's kinda like an Asian chimera. Unlike the chimera, though, this thing lives in the sky. Can you imagine? According to this article, the nue is one of the oldest yokai. It is mentioned in a famous record of Japan's bloodiest civil war which was written in 1371 as well as much earlier. God, this skin was a pain in the butt, lol. When making it, I had about fifty tabs open (pictures of tigers, tanuki, monkeys native to Japan, snakes native to Japan, and of course the folklore about the nue and a few interpretations of this thing). It was great. xD Anyway, here's what this thing looks like:
