Story:"Ready to go?" His only response was a grunt from under the mask he was wearing. "Fine, then." She hoped he could hear the hint of anger in it. But not much was there to anger her. This part of the journey was beautiful, serene, as silent as death but lighter in presence.She turned her head over her shoulder to gaze at the flowers behind her, almost in the blooming stage. The moonflowers, with the silver tinge, reminded her of herself, her lifestory. Reborn. They didn't grow naturally here, they were shipped by the hundred and transplanted from the Otherlands. They didn't fit in, they didn't belong. But they grew, because they had come to evolve to this world. She didn't belong here, but until today, she had never dreamed of leaving. She stared at all she was leaving behind, and wondered if it was worth it. Her roots were to far down in this place for someone to yank her out of the soil she had come to love."It reminds me of where I come from." she said. She didn't think he was listening, but he was."Me too." He picked one out of the ground and pulled the petals off rhythmically.
