Hey Everybody! this is 2012commander here, and this is William Vincent Afton from the Five Nights at Freddy's Game Series. Afton is the Co-Owner of Afton Robotics, along with Henry Schmidt. his story is told through 2 different timelines, one from the game series, one from the Novel "The Silver Eyes". this is the adapted version from the games. Prime Timeline (FNAF)On 4/17/1983, Afton Robotics shut it's doors to the public after the death of Henry Schmidt's daughter, Charlie, who was crushed inside one of the animatronics. Afton gives his condolences to Henry. 2 days later, the local police starts an investigation, led by Hurricane Police Department's Detective Fritz J. Smith. after several officers develop signs of severe Carbon Monoxide poisoning, the investigation is closed and the leak would temporarily declare the site condemned and hazardous to humans. with Afton's name cleared after the Schmidt family drops charges, Afton and Henry move from the HQ in Utah to the Secondary Factory in Swallowmine, Ohio. Funded by Maxwell Woodrow, father of Carl Woodrow, they continued creating and managing their Generation-Class Robotic Endoskeleton Frame. Detective Smith requested a transfer to the Swallowmine Police Department. his request was hesitantly granted. in 1985, two detectives (Fritz Smith, and Senior Homicide Detective Jared Marley) discovered the corpse of William Afton, stabbed many times. the Ballistics Division eventually discovered 4 months later, after the events that took place in a Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, that the stab wounds are identical to the ones discovered on James Taylor's body, meaning that the person who killed Afton is the same person to have assaulted Taylor and the Commanders of 2012.
