lovecraft =/= planet datecraft - ~ - The woman tied to the stone thrashes, her soft skin scraping against the hard surface of the rock. She continues to pull against her bonds, trying desperately to break free, like a wild animal caught in a sharp toothed trap. Her body is tired and broken, she strains one last time, then slumps back down against the cold altar. Tears well in her eyes as she begins to quietly sob. Dark shapes in loosely fitted robes flitter about, their long capes trailing behind them as they move from table to table, dragging long, hooked fingers across old pages. They recite passages from dusty tomes, tongues clicking, teeth chattering as they churn out syllables from some forgotten tongue. 'nng'ha yyli'gl uoour'gn.' 'nng'ha yyli'gl uoour'gn.!' They circle about the stone, continuing their chant, moving closer and closer to the girl. She continues to weep as they draw near, pleading with them to end the madness. One among the shapes, larger than the others, with a golden mask obscuring its face, produces an ornate dagger from somewhere within its sprawling robes. Silently, it floats across the floor, leering over top of her face. A foul odor emanates from behind the mask, somewhat akin to that of rotting flesh. The reek surrounds her, filling her lungs, choking her. The dark mass lifts one arm into the air, the knife grasped firmly in its claw-like hand. It howls as it plunges the blade deep into her heart, killing her instantly. The group takes a step back, expectantly looking towards their leader. The golden masked figure turns slowly, as if for effect. It stands there for a few moments before harshly croaking. 'yyahg'nnlh ggghlt'l!' They explode into a commotion, gargling and hissing. Two of them move up and untie the girl's lifeless body, hoisting her over their shoulders before dragging her towards a long hallway. A deep crimson stain follows as they disappear from sight. TL;DR Girl gets kidnapped by evil cult, evil cult sacrifices girl.
